The Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford houses one of the largest aviation collections in the United Kingdom. 70 historic aircraft are displayed in three fully heated wartime hangars on an active airfield. The collection spans nearly 80 years of aviation history.
This collection includes the RAF's nuclear detrrent, the 'V Force', and other notable aircraft from the period.
The Research & Development Collection is undoubtedly a jewel in the Museum's inventory and features some of the World's most exotic aircraft.
The War Planes Collection includes British, German, American, Japanese and Argentinian aircraft, all with an important place in the development of military aviation.
Some of the largest and smallest machines flown by the RAF for transport, communication and training. Most are in Hangar 1, but others are displayed appropriately in other exhibitions.
