Set in scenic Shropshire, the Royal Air Force Museum's Cosford site is vast and it is really impossible to see everything in just one visit. Here are some suggestions about what you could fit into a short and a longer visit:

National Cold War Exhibition

Explore the immense threat posed to World peace and security during this significant period of the 20th century.

For up to 2 hours:

Unique display of 3 nuclear bombers - Valiant, Vulcan, Victor

With more time you could also see:

Short Belfast Cinema, 'Hot Spots'

Test Flight

Visit some of the World's most exotic aircraft.

For up to 2 hours:

Research & Development Aircraft Collection, Fun'n' Flight Interactive Centre, BAC TSR2

With more time you could also see:

Interactive Timeline, 'Touch & Try' Jet Provost, Prone-Pilot Meteor, Fairey Delta 2

War Planes

The display includes British, German, American, Japanese and Argentinian aircraft, all with an important place in the development of military aviation.

For up to 2 hours:

War Planes Aircraft Collection, featuring Battle of Britain Blast Pens with Hurricane and Spitfire, Avro Lincoln

With more time you could also see:

Enemy aircraft including rare Japanese and German machines, Messerschmitt Me 410, Pucara, Ki-46 'Dinah'

Hangar 1

See airliners and RAF transport aircraft, engines and missiles.

Transport & Training Aircraft Collection, Aero Engine Collection, Missile Collection

With more time you could also see:

Art Gallery, History of Cosford, Temporary Exhibition Gallery, extensive collection of German WWII missile testing technology
