Fun 'n' Flight

Learn to fly

This is an essential part of every visit and a session is included in the timetable of all pre-booked school groups.

This hands-on interactive gallery is full of exhibits designed to help you learn why aircraft stay up in the air.  Whether you are investigating air flow with 'The Blower' or guiding a Hercules to the drop zone, you will be learning in a fun and informative way.  Don't forget you can also see what conditions are like at Cosford with the weather station.

The Fun 'n' Flight gallery is run by a team of volunteers.  It is open on weekdays from 10.00 to 16.00 and weekends 11.00 to 16.00.

In the Fun 'n' Flight Gallery, the Volunteer Explainers help visitors to understand the principles demonstrated by the working exhibits.

Individuals contribute as much or as little time as they can spare.  The popularity of this area means we are always looking for people to join our pool of helpers.
