Friends Evening Seminar -
Royal Flying Corps Contact Patrols in the First World War.
In this lecture Friend of the Museum Michael Meech explains the valunable work done by Royal Flying Corps Contact Patrols during the 1st World War.
In this fascinating and informative lecture he explores the challenges faced by Infantry and Calvary on the Continent and how accurate pin-pointing of enemy positions by the RFC was all important for the success of campaigns.
The lecture will commence at 7pm and is open to members of the public to attend as well as Friends of the Museum. We would therefore advise arriving at the Museum no later than 6.30pm to attend this lecture.
Please note any members of the public wishing to attend will be levied a car-parking fee of £2.50 per vehicle.

Friends Evening Seminar -
The Face of Courage
An evening especially created for Friends of the Museum.
Dr Jonathan Black, the curator of the Museum's current art exhibition The Face of Courage, gives a private tour of this collection of art unveiling the hidden stories behind the images on display.
The evening will commence at 7pm in the Museum's Art Gallery and is open to members of the Museum's Society of Friends only.
