Lest We Forget

From the 3rd to the 11th November (excluding 8th and 9th), The Royal Air Force Museum will be running Remembrance activities for key stage 1 and key stage 2 school groups.

Key Stage 1: Poppy Collage - Children learn why it is important to remember. They are then given a poppy petal to decorate as they wish and the petals are then added to make a collage of a poppy. The collage is taken back to school to display.

Key Stage 2: Wall of Remembrance - Children learn why it is important to remember. They are then given a 'plaque' to decorate as they wish and the plaques are joined to form a Wall of Remembrance. The Wall is taken back to school to display.

At the end of each session children will be able to try on original Royal Air Force uniforms - bring your camera!

Length of session: 1 hour approximately.
Maximum group numbers: 35 per class
Cost: £20.00 per class

Outreach sessions for schools are available - Please contact David Keen on 020 8358 4851 for details.
