Half Term Helicopters
18th - 22nd February 2013
Learn more about the history of our Helicopter Collection through a series of fascinating and fun interactive workshops.
We will be opening up our
Royal Wessex Helicopter and
Whirlwind Search and Rescue Helicopter to our visitors allowing them to have a peek inside whilst questioning members of our
Access and Learning Department about these magnificent machines. We will also be allowing members of the public to explore the interior of our
Merlin Helicopter under the supervision of staff...and don't forget you can explore the interior of our interactive
Chinook Exhibition pictured above.
We will also be allowing children to make their own simple paper helicopter to take home and keep free of charge. This activity will be situated just outside the Museum's Dermot Boyle Wing towards the far end of the Museum's Helicopter Collection.
Session times are 11.00 – 13.00 and 14.00 – 16.00 daily, participation in this event is free.
