25th March 2016 - 17th February 2017
'Unwinding’, the second in a series of four First World War in the Air temporary exhibitions will open on Friday 25 March. ‘Unwinding’ will focus on the off-duty pursuits which played a crucial role in helping First World War British air service personnel relieve the physical and psychological strains of active service.
The exhibition has been co-curated with our local schools and colleges and includes original documents and objects from the Museum’s collection as well as the students’ own work created in response to the theme.
‘Unwinding’ is accompanied by a programme of live dance performances by Middlesex University BA Dance Studies students (please keep an eye on website for dates & times) and a First World War in the Air concert on Tuesday 19 April.
Our First World War in the Air exhibition and associated programme of events are supported by BAE Systems and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
