Dornier 17 Appeal
Please help us raise the remaining £250,000 required to save the world's only surviving Do-17. Donate today and save a unique piece of aviation history.
The condition of the Dornier is rapidly deteriorating and the Museum is in a race against time to save it.
Conserving the Dornier is a huge engineering challenge. Constructed of aluminium it is very sensitive to corrosion. Few aluminium artefacts have been successfully recovered from the sea and so we are working with Imperial College London to develop innovative new methods to prevent the corrosion which began as soon as the Dornier was lifted from the channel.
We hope to raise £250,000 from individuals like you in order to help support this conservation and so save this hugely significant aircraft. Please become an appeal supporter today.
You can make a donation of any size and it will make a real contribution to our efforts to save the Dornier.
If you share our vision for preserving this piece of aviation history and would like to make a more significant donation, please contact us to discuss how your gift could transform our campaign. Major donors will be offered the opportunity to see the conservation of the Dornier at first hand.
Thank you for your support.
