The Royal Air Force Museum is Britain’s national museum that tells the story of the RAF through its people and collections. It has three sites (London, Cosford and Stafford) and a trading company which supplements its funding which comes principally from the Ministry of Defence.

This is an exciting time to join an award-winning museum as it develops and delivers programmes to mark the Centenary of the Royal Air Force in 2018 and its legacy.

The Visitor Experience Assistant will deliver a range of visitor experiences, providing consistently high standards of customer care and actively support strategic priorities of the museum especially in relation to interpreting the story of the RAF and increasing commercial income.

The position requires excellent communication skills with a positive and enthusiastic aptitude to deliver a warm welcome to everyone they meet. 

This position is a temporary seasonal contract with 600 hours guaranteed over the period with additional hour’s available dependant on business requirements. Normal working hours will be between 08:00 and 20:00 (earlier or later shifts may apply) with minimum shifts of 4 hours per day and a maximum shift of 8 hours per day apply including some weekends, early morning, late evenings and bank holidays.  This position will end on 31 October 2018.
