Terms and Conditions

Signage

Please obey the site speed limit of 15mph.  Directional signage will guide you to your allocated parking. Any changes to this arrangement will be explained by a member of the Museum team. If you are unsure when you arrive please ask a member of the Museum team in the Visitor Centre.

Allocated Parking

Please ensure that the vehicles using your allocated space are part of your rally to avoid confusion during your visit. Any additional vehicles, clubs or organisations that arrive without prior agreement will be required to park in the main visitor car parks and do not have the same benefits that your rally is being offered.

We recommend that you provide your own marshals who must wear suitable high visibility jackets to assist with the parking.

Disturbance to Museum Visitors

Organisers are reminded that the Museum is open to the public from 10:00 – 17:00hrs (summer hours), 10:00hrs – 16:00hrs (winter hours) seven days a week and organisers must ensure that the enjoyment of the Museum by our customers is not disrupted.

Unfortunately we are unable to take bookings on Bank Holiday weekends and on special event days.

Care of the Museum

The organiser shall ensure that the following is understood by their guests:-
External structures are not permitted, this includes gazebos, flags etc. without any prior agreement and exchange of insurances and relevant assessments.

The buildings and their content are not used to support or fix items to.

That all internal and external collection items are respected and photo requests are agreed with the Museum.

You will be responsible for the clearance of your own rubbish and other waste materials from the site at the end of the rally.

Insurance and Assessments

If you would like to bring flags designed to be weighed down by car wheels the Museum would like a copy of your Public Liability Insurance cover. A copy of your Method Statement and Risk Assessment will have to be submitted and agreed in advance of the visit.

Soliciting Money

The organiser shall ensure that no person using the Museum is solicited for money, whether for a charitable purpose or any other purpose.

Security

General security patrol will be provided by staff of the Royal Air Force Museum but parking is at your own risk and the Museum cannot be held accountable for any damage or loss. Please do not leave items outside of the vehicle unattended to avoid unnecessary disruption.

Security Procedure

Should any emergency arise you are requested to follow the directions of the identified Museum staff members.

Right to Eject

The Visitor Experience Supervisor’s have the authority to refuse entry or escort off the site any person or people should their behaviour, content or activity deemed dangerous, anti-social behaviour unsafe or detrimental to the Museum’s collection or reputation.
