Our dedicated team of volunteer guides have an interest in aviation and the RAF. The Museum can organise tours for pre-booked groups from £30.00 per tour. Maximum of 15 people per tour and multiples thereafter. Please give as much notice as possible to guarantee availability.
Brief historical information will be given on the Cold War aircraft including what makes each exhibit special. Explore the immense threat posed to World peace and security during this significant period of the 20th century. View our unique display including the V Bombers; the Vulcan, Victor and Valiant.
If you would prefer a 1 hour tour of a different hangar, please indicate this on your booking form.
This tour lasts approx 1 hour. Cost £30.00
This tour includes the National Cold War Exhibition (as above) and Hangar 1. In Hangar 1 visitors will be introduced to the transport and training aircraft which includes some of the smallest and the largest machines flown by the Royal Air Force. You will also view the German Second World War missiles.
This tour lasts approx 2 hours. Cost £40.00
This tour takes in the National Cold War Exhibition, Test Flight and War in the Air collections. Our guides will take your party through the hangars picking out highlights such as the three V Bombers, TSR 2 and the world's oldest Spitfire. Brief historical information will be given on the aircraft including what makes the individual exhibits special.
This tour lasts approx 3 hours (including a break). Cost £50.00
This tour takes in the National Cold War Exhibition, Hangar 1, Test Flight and War in the Air. Our guides will take your party through the hangars picking out highlights such as the V Bombers, TSR 2, the world's oldest Spitfire and the German Second World War missiles. Brief information will be given on the aircraft including what makes the individual exhibits special.
This tours lasts approx. 5 hours (including a lunch break). Cost £60.00
This tour is available by arrangement on Friday afternoons and weekends (excluding between 12:00hrs – 14:00hrs). This is a unique opportunity to have a guided tour of the aircraft restoration and conservation workshop, an area not normally available to the public. The Conservation Centre is a busy working environment and we would ask you to contact us directly if you are interested in booking a tour.
This tour lasts approx. 1 hour. Cost £5.00 per person, minimum cost £30.00
