Writer in Residence

Launch of Tom Palmer Book at RAF Museum Cosford

Children's Writer in Residence - Tom Palmer

Tom Palmer is the RAF Museum's children's writer in residence.  Tom will be working with the Museum's visitors to help them get the best out of their experience.

He will be offering advice on writing short stories which help visitors engage with the Museum's amazing collection.  Tom and the Access and Learning team will be developing new ideas for school children and families.

Primary School’s are invited to work with author Tom Palmer on his new book. One class will get to spend a day in a writing workshop to work alongside Tom.  His new book entitled 'D Day Dog' is about the paratroopers that the RAF dropped into Normandy that morning. Paratrooping men – and dogs! Tom will run a day-long writing workshop about the RAF’s involvement in D-Day, using his writing knowledge and the RAF’s expertise and a range of Second World War artefacts. His workshops are being held from 21 May to 23 May 2019.

To find out more about this exciting opportunity please email us.
