Armed Forces Weekend

29 - 30 June 2019

Armed Forces Day

Join us on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June to celebrate Armed Forces Day with a weekend of nostalgic activities for the whole family to enjoy.

The Museum will come alive with living historians, interpreters, children's activities and much more across the whole site.  Celebrating and paying tribute to our heroes past and present, including current serving personnel, service families, veterans and cadets.

On Saturday 29 June, Time & Again Theatre Company will be performing ‘Greyhounds’ at 11.00am and 3.00pm.   Set in 1941 in the fictional village of Shuttlefield; whilst the country is in the grips of the Second World War, the hapless residents are preparing to perform Shakespeare’s Henry V to raise money for their local Spitfire fund.  Click here to book tickets and find out more information.

More information about the Armed Forces Day Weekend will follow shortly.

We anticipate that the weekend will be extremely busy, parking is limited at the Museum, however, a free shuttle bus will be operating from the Cosford railway station on both Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June from 10.00am – 4.00pm.  Parking charges at the Museum will apply as usual.
