Conservation Centre Open Week 2017
13 - 18 November 2017
The RAF Museum's Conservation Centre will be opening its doors to visitors this November for access to aircraft in our conservation hangar. For for one week only, visitors will be able to view progress behind-the-scenes being made on a range of aircraft such as the Wellington Bomber which is one of only two survivors from the Second World War. Other projects include the LVG and Range Safety Launch.
Not only will visitors get the chance to view rare aircraft but the chance to speak to Museum Technicians, Apprentices and Volunteers who will be available throughout the week to speak with visitors about their work and answer any questions you may have on their current projects.
Admission is £5.00 per adult for the Open Week event (Children under 16 accompanied by an adult free)
Please note tickets purchased online includes a 50p booking fee however this is included in the price.
Please note tickets can also be purchased on arrival from the Visitor Centre on the day.
Serving personnel and Museum Lightning Members are entitled to free admission on production of ID.
Proceeds from this event will go towards supporting the Museum collection.
The Open Week will run 10.15am - 1.00pm.
Nimrod Tours will also be available from 13 - 18 November. They cost £5.00 per person and morning slots can be booked online here
