Summer of Spies Workshop - 08.08.2018

8 August 2018

Summer of Spies Workshop

After the success of the summer of spy workshops in 2017, the RAF Museum are working with Tablet Academy to offer fantastic technology workshops. The use of technology is becoming as fundamental to a child's development, as reading and writing. Working with Tablet Academy, we are offering children the chance to develop their ability to use technology in a safe and exciting way.

Building Spy Traps and Security Devices with Lego Mindstorms and Brixo

Timings: Morning session 9:00am - 12:00pm, Full day 9:00am - 4:00pm

Cost: £20.00 per morning, £30.00 for the full day (50p booking fee applies)
Maximum capacity: 30 participants
This workshop is for strictly 8 to 15 year olds

Participants will build and program their own security devices to protect their possessions and secrets. Mindstorms uses a block-based coding language similar to Scratch, which children may be familiar with. No previous experience is required. Brixo is a special type of brick which can be used to create electric circuits built into Lego.
