Local Author and Artist take to the skies with children's book

Published on: 23 November 2015

Date: 28 November
Time: 11.30am
Location: Test Flight Hangar (next to the Jet Provost)

The Royal Air Force Museum Cosford will be the chosen venue to officially launch a children’s book which follows the adventures of Jim the Jet Provost.

Author Amanda Cundall has teamed up with local artist Spencer Trickett to create a series of children’s books that show a different perspective on famous aeroplanes of the Royal Air Force.

Jim the Jet Provost is the first in a series of titles that will delight children of all ages and help to promote the history of the Royal Air Force. Jim is a small RAF training jet that has been abandoned in an empty, cold, unused hangar. With just his memories and a few friendly mice, Jim is unsure of what the future holds.

The book launch will take place on Saturday 28 November at 11.30am at the RAF Museum Cosford. Both Amanda and Spencer will be available to meet Jim fans and sign books on the day. Visitors are invited to join them in the Test Flight hangar next to the Jet Provost.
