RAF Chef of the Year to Cook Up New Experience for Members

Sgt Brian Birnie, RAF Chef of the YearRAF cooking on the frontline has evolved across the last 100 years. Not only do chefs need to ensure that that are cooking nutritious, wholesome meals 3 times a day on budget and on time but quite often they are doing so in circumstances that would make other professional chefs quake in their whites!

In this very special event for Museum Members and their guests Sergeant Brian Birnie, RAF Chef of the year 2015, will share the details about his 25 year career serving under extreme conditions from the Artic Circle to Afghanistan at the Museum's London site.

Members will also enjoy an archive viewing session sharing content such as WW2 cooking manuals. The event will conclude with a two course meal, cooked by Sgt Birnie.

Timings: 11.00-13.00

Catering: Two course meal

Cost: London £20 Members, £25 Members guests
