RAF100 Cookbook Competition Winners Named
Published on: 01 November 2017
To celebrate the publication of the RAF100 Cookbook at the beginning of October we teamed up with St. James's House to give away 6 copies of their amazing book 'RAF100 Cookbook' worth £25 each.
Researched, cooked, photographed and written by acting or former servicemen and servicewomen, the book tours 100 of the territories in which the RAF has held a presence in since 1918, telling the fascinating stories of its involvement in each region and providing delicious, authentic local recipes that you’ll want to try at home.
This combination of incredible dishes and amazing tales will keep you reading before and after dinner. Contributions from such household names as James Martin, Tom Kerridge and Cyrus Todiwala add a dash of celebrity spice to the book.
All that our online visitors had to do was to answer the very simple question: For which of the following television programmes has renowned chef James Martin not been a presenter?
a) The One Show
b) This Morning
c) Strictly Come Dancing
The answer was, of course, Strictly Come Dancing, which in he competed in 2005 with Camilla Dallerup.
All those individuals who answered the question correctly went into a Prize Draw which took place this morning and the 6 winners who will be receiving a copy of the RAF100 Cookbook are as follows:
- Heather Holland of North Weald
- Sarah Oates of Dublin
- Andrew Appleton of Wallington
- Allan Dixon of Morpeth
- Rita Hall of Guildford
- Sharon Parker of Salford
Congratulations to each of our winners, copies of the book will be sent out in the post in the next few days.
If you entered our competition and failed to win a copy of the RAF100 Cookbook, this may be purchased directly from the Museum's online shop.
Happy reading and cooking!
