A Statement from Our Catering Manager

Staying Covid-19 Secure in 2020.

We are here to help you plan and enjoy your visit to The Royal Air Force Museum even more with our selection of food, drinks, cakes, ice creams and snacks.

Putting the safety and well-being of our team and customers first is our priority.

To help create a safe experience for everyone, we have enhanced our high standard of cleanliness even further and introduced a number of additional measures and changes to our cafe.

In addition to deep cleaning our café before re-opening, our teams are washing their hands at least every 30 minutes and cleaning equipment and surfaces more often.

In order to help our teams practice social distancing, we have fewer people working on shifts and a reduced menu. To help ensure our service is as quick and easy as possible for everyone, please review our menu before entering the cafe. This is available to view HERE or on large menu a-frames outside of the café.

Floor markings inside the café will enable our customers to queue safely – we have installed a one way system and ask that only one person per group queues inside. We’ve also installed additional sanitiser stations and screens in our service area. We just ask that you use contactless payment to aid in keeping our service as hands free and safe as possible.

Our teams will continue to wear protective equipment, including face masks when not behind protective screens (but not the type needed by medical teams).

As we will currently be using all single use products, we have taken care to set up a disposal system to off-set any environmental impact. All of our takeaway cutlery, cups, sandwich and salad packaging is recyclable. We ask that you help us in this by clearing your table and taking waste to the refuse area to dispose of packaging, glass and general waste in the bins provided.

Things will look a little different and take a little longer so thank you for your continued support and patience.
