Excellent day

We had a fabulous day, and all for free! There is so much to see we spent all day here.Even if you are not a bit of a plane nerd like me it is still definitely worth a visit. I would highly recommend the Spitfire Experience, to sit in one is so exciting I was grinning like a Cheshire Cat! I would also recommend one of the free guided tours by museum volunteers, only half an hour but very interesting and amusing. Lunch in the EAT cafe was very tasty and reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again. Cheryl ferris, Braintree

We have been going to the Hendon Air Museum since our grandson was 3 and this year he will be 14. He has his particular favourite planes and really enjoys every visit. We cannot praise it enough, its always exciting to see. Andy Postill, High Wycombe

Amazing collection

Our visit on June 7 2016 was one of the highlights of our trip to London. It was good to see so many famous aeroplanes. My absolute favourite is the Lancaster. The Spitfire, Me109 and Hurricane rebuilds for 2018 are wonderful to see. Henk, Niemeyer

Museum visit.

A wonderful museum a fantastic view into the past history of aviation, the house or office of Claude Grahame -White needs a sign on the pathway outside which is a 120ft long and laid to commemorate the take-off distance of the Wright bros, first flight, but who would know this?. The guides in the house above were exceptionally well informed and helpful; I think there should be a statue erected to the memory of Claude Grahame -White for his contribution to the aircraft industry in that area, the visit was one of the best Air museums I have seen, many thanks. Fantastic Museum

Me and my friends had a fantastic day at RAF Hendon, during Half term. Every part of the museum was fantastic from the Aviation Timeline to the Short Sunderland. We particularly enjoyed the Bomber hall where you could go right up against legendary aircraft like the Lancaster, B17 and the Vulcan. We were there for around 4 hours, and it literally felt like an hour. Time flew by [no pun intended]. Also the whole exhibition is FREE. We would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to look at the history of military aviation. Ben Peters, London
