1940s Christmas Carol Concert

15 - 16 December 2012

The Swingtime Sweethearts Singing in front of our Lancaster

The Swingtime SweetheartsThis festive season the Royal Air Force Museum invites you to take time out from the hurly-burly of the Christmas rush to enjoy a 1940s style Christmas Concert with the Swingtime Sweethearts, back by very popular demand.

The concerts will commence at 2.30pm on both days underneath the Museum’s Lancaster aircraft in Bomber Hall; and will consist of classic Christmas wartime favourites that kept the home fires burning during the dark days of World War 2 perfectly executed by the girls, as well a traditional hymns and carols for which we would ask that you raise the rafters high. Each concert will last approximately 75 minutes.

So with a just over a week to go to the big day why not treat yourself to an afternoon away from last minute shopping, festive wrappings, and menu planning and rediscover your inner Christmas child?

To view a snippet of last year's concert visit our YouTube Channel....and if you would like to see some of younger audience from last year singing with the Swingtime Sweethearts you can do so by watching this video. Merry Christmas.
