Armed Forces Day

29 June 2019

Celebrate Armed Forces Day with a parade, live music and family activities!

Armed Forces Day

Our celebration will start with an Armed Forces Day parade and ceremony, in partnership with the London Borough of Barnet, which will honour the bravery and commitment of servicemen and women, past and present. Visitors are invited to come and enjoy the parade and ceremony at the Museum, details of timings are listed below.

There will be music from the North London Military Wives Choir and the Barn-ettes, who are a high energy vintage trio. You can dress up in RAF uniform and strike a pose in our RAF uniform Photo Booth.

To mark this special occasion the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will be flying the Avro Lancaster Bomber over the Museum. The flypast is weather dependant and we will update you closer to the event on the exact time.

Armed Forces Day Aircraft Access

Armed Forces Day is free to attend, but we are also offering the opportunity to step over the barriers and get up close to a selection of our aircraft. Just purchase an Aircraft Access ticket in advance or pick up a wristband on arrival, this will get you access to aircraft like the Phantom, Sea King and Chipmunk.
