The London Spitfire 10K

The London Spitfire 10K

The RAF Museum has made the decision to cancel the Spitfire 10K in London on Saturday 2 September 2017.

The RAF Museum in London is currently undergoing exciting changes to mark the RAF’s Centenary in 2018. The project is transforming our site as planned, but what has become clear in recent weeks is that the experience of running the Spitfire 10K would be compromised if we decided to go ahead and we want our runners to enjoy the site at its best.

What our new main entrance will look like Summer 2018

If you have entered this year you will have the option to transfer to the Spitfire 10K race at Cosford, in the West Midlands.  This exciting race takes runners around the Museum site past iconic aircraft including the VC10, Hercules and Nimrod, before heading onto the airfield. The scenic route around the military airfield will take runners past several historic landmarks along the way and then it’s back onto the Museum site to cross the finish line.

If you would like to transfer to the Cosford Spitfire 10K, on Sunday 3 September, please contact the Museum Events Manager by 1pm on Friday 30 June. Otherwise all refunds will be processed by Friday 14 July. We apologise for any inconvenience caused in cancelling the Spitfire 10K in London. If you have any further questions about your entry please contact the Museum Events Manager here.
