The Air League 110th Anniversary Exhibition

31 August - 30 December 2019

The Air League has encouraged the development of aviation and aerospace in the UK since 1909 and is celebrating its 110th Anniversary.

Founders Colonel Harry Massy and Stephen Marples set out ‘to form a great central aeronautical institute with branches all over the country at which young men of small means would be able to qualify as airmen’.

Since then, the Air League has encouraged young men and women to take up careers in aviation and aerospace as the UK’s largest provider of flying scholarships and bursaries while campaigning for the UK to be a world leader in the industry.

Find out more about the work of the Air League in this 110th anniversary exhibition developed with the RAF Museum Youth Panel.

Open now in Hangar 2.
