Grahame-White Factory Closed 31 August

Published on: 25 August 2017

The RAF Museum's RAF Centenary LogoOn Thursday 31 August the Claude Grahame-White Factory and our First World War in the Air exhibition will be closed to the public as we undertake preparation works to relocate our external Marine Craft to their new location on our London site later this year.

This new location will be next to Hangar 1, the Museum's new Main Entrance, and the craft will be eventually placed under cover to protect them further from the elements as part of our RAF Centenary Programme of Works.

We would like to apologise in advance for any disappointment that this may cause visitors intending to come to the Museum on this date.

However, we are confident that once our programme of works is complete that visitors will enjoy the improved accessibility and new exhibitions contained in our brand new site.

The illustration below is an artist's impression showing the current location of our Marine Craft and where they will be located once landscaping has been completed at our London site.
