This September the heroic story of 303 Squadron will be told through the eyes and experience of Jan Zumbach, one of the aces of the Battle of Britain in a brand new blockbuster movie.
The character is played by Iwan Rheon, the star of Game of Thrones (Ramsay Bolton), Misfits (Simon Bellamy), and Inhumans (Maximus).
Other notable actors playing in this epic film are – Milo Gibson as Canadian fighter ace John A. Kent ‘Kentowski,’ and Marcin Dorocinski as Squadron Leader Witold Urbanowicz.
To celebrate the release on this movie we teamed up with Kaleidoscope Entertainment and Rakuten films to give away 5 pairs of tickets to the London premiere of the film which will be held at the Vue Cinema, in Leicester Square, on 4 September at 7pm after which the lucky winners will be able to attend a star-studded drinks reception.
To be in with a chance of winning one of these sets of tickets all that entrants had to do was answer the question below by midnight on 30 August, to go into our Prize Draw that will take place on 31 August.
The question that we asked was:
We recently unveiled at our London site a life-size image of Franciszek Kornicki the Polish Fighter Ace and member of 303 Squadron. In which exhibition can it be found?
The correct answer was: RAF Stories: The First 100 Years, 1918 – 2018
Our five lucky winners who will be attending the Premiere with a guest of their choice are:
- Mr Tim Burt of Fleet, Kent
- Mr Andrzej Jablonski of Forest Hill, London
- Mrs Linda Curtis of Chalk Farm, London
- Mrs Mary Ganley of Forest Hill, London
- Mr Andy Buckley of Biggleswade Kent
In addition to attending the Premiere each of our winners will also receive a Hurricane Mug, A3 Hurricane Print and a Hurricane Key Ring.
“I was waiting for a movie about Squadron 303 my entire life – so the people in Poland and all around the world could see on their own eyes a story of great Polish heroes, including my grandfather – Sergeant Stanislaw Slowikowski. That story is full of emotions, drama, brotherhood and an unimaginable joy coming from the triumph against overwhelming forces of the enemy. It’s a movie that everyone should watch!”
– Antoni Dmochowski, grandson of Sergeant Stanislaw Slowikowski from 303 Squadron
