Tablet Academy, one of the largest education training companies in the UK, in partnership with the Royal Air Force Museum Midlands will be delivering the first ‘Ed-Tech Convention’ on Tuesday 5 March, bringing together like-minded individuals from the field of education and technology.
Suitable for school leaders, classroom teachers (KS2-KS5) and IT professionals, this brand-new convention is unlike any other, designed to immerse attendees in hands-on workshops and networking activities. Attendees will be guided through a series of short 30 minute activates, delivered by industry and Tablet Academy experts, nestled amongst the historical Royal Air Force Museum exhibits.
The one day convention will be packed with innovative and inspiring content that will transform your working practices. Highlights include: Institutional Transformation, Cloud Migration (Microsoft and Google), Online Safety, Front of Class Solutions, Teacher’s Technology Apprenticeship Programme, Apple, Google and Microsoft Expertise, Accredited training, Classroom devices, Computing Curriculum, STEM, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, Robotics, Drones and more.
Tablet Academy Managing Director, Mark Yorke said:
“The idea of the convention is to provide educators the opportunity to network with like-minded people in an inspirational venue, whilst having the opportunity to get hands-on with a range of technology and question the industry experts.”
Taking place in the National Cold War Exhibition the format of the day will commence at 9.00am with networking and refreshments on arrival, followed by an event briefing and then it’s straight into the first of nine hands-on workshops. A buffet lunch will be served and enjoyed amongst the aircraft, before a busy afternoon of workshops and the chance to get specialist advice from the experts in the partner lounges dotted around the Museum hangar.
Delegates attending the convention have the exciting opportunity to claim a free HP ProBook x360 11 EE laptop worth over £400. Thanks to the support of HP for Education, one representative from each educational institution (school or college) in attendance can claim their free device on the day. To claim your free device all you need to do it register your institution with HP for Education www.hpfe.com, a programme designed to give rewards to educational establishments when they purchase new HP devices and trade in their old technology.
