Cobham's India Companions
Sir Sefton Brancker travelled as Alan Cobham's passenger on this journey, while Arthur Elliott joined Cobham for the first time as the engineer.
Alan Cobham would become close friends with both these men and they would assist him in setting a number of long distance records.
They would also help him in getting his message across about the benefits of civil aviation to the British nation.
When Cobham asked Elliott if he would like to fly to India he simply said, 'When do we start?'
