About the role

Development Assistant
Permanent
Full-time
London or Midlands
Circa £22,950 per annum (dependent on location)

The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity, with two sister sites at London and Midlands. Our purpose is to share the RAF story, past, present and future – using the stories of its people and our collections in order to engage, inform and inspire. Our Vision is to inspire everyone with the RAF story – the people who shape it and its place in our lives.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Museum’s Development Team to assist with delivering the Museum’s Strategy 2030. The role will provide an excellent learning and development opportunity for an individual with the interest and aptitude to join a fast-paced team generating income to support Museum programmes.

The role will work with the Development Manager – Individual Giving to administer the rapidly growing income area as well as supporting HNWI and Corporate fundraising. The individual will be involved with supporting Challenge Events Fundraisers, Visitor Donations, Adopt an Artefact and RAF Regular giving. In addition, the role will draft communications and support other areas of fundraising, meaning this is an ideal post to gain experience across multiple fundraising disciplines. The individual will need good written and oral communications skills as well as the ability to multi-task.

Travel between sites and across the UK is required as part of the role which will also provide opportunities to attend key Museum events and be the face and first point of contact for many of the Museums donors.

To apply:

• Interviews will take place on: 15 August 2022
