This legal notice applies to the entire contents of the website under the domain name www.rafmuseum.org.uk and to any correspondence between you and us and to any newsletters or publications downloaded by you or sent to you by us (the “Site”).

The Royal Air Force Museum whose address is Grahame Park Way, London, NW9 5LL is responsible for the Site.

In consideration of the Royal Air Force Museum allowing you access to the Site you are deemed to accept our terms and conditions of use. Please read them carefully. If you do not accept these terms and conditions of use, do not use the Site.

The Royal Air Force Museum or its licensors or contributors own the copyright and all other intellectual property rights in the material on the Site.   • for the posting, uploading, emailing or other transmission of any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, restrict, destroy, limit the functionality of or compromise the integrity of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
  • to create a database (electronic or otherwise) that includes material downloaded or otherwise obtained from the Site, without written permission from the Royal Air Force Museum;
  • to transmit or re-circulate any material obtained from the Site to any third party, without written permission from the Royal Air Force Museum;
  • in such a way so as to remove the copyright or trade mark notice(s) from any copies of any material made in accordance with these terms; or
  • in any way that might bring the Royal Air Force Museum into disrepute.

You must be at least 18 years of age or be accessing the Site with the full consent of a parent or guardian.

  • The Royal Air Force Museum shall have the right to refuse to allow you access to the Site or any part of it at any time and for any reason without giving you any advance notice.

  • The Royal Air Force Museum shall not be responsible for any viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, restrict, destroy, limit the functionality of or compromise the integrity of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment or other material transmitted with or as part of the Site or any other internet site.

Royal Air Force Museum is registered under, and will process your personal data in accordance with, data protection legislation.

You hereby agree that the Registration Information (and all updates of the Registration Information) and any other information sent to the Royal Air Force Museum by you (“the Personal Data”) may be processed by Royal Air Force Museum for the purposes of:

  • These terms and conditions of use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in relation to the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
  • If any of these terms or conditions of use should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be deemed deleted and the remaining terms and conditions of use shall survive and continue to be binding and enforceable.

We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimise this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback.

Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behaviour and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.

  • Are you wanting to provide feedback or have a complaint?

    We aim to provide a response to all feedback and complaints within five working days. Please note, however, that some complaints will be more complex and therefore require longer to be fully investigated. Consequently, timescales given for handling and responding to complaints are indicative. Simply email either london@rafmuseum.org or midlands@rafmuseum.org with your feedback or complaint.
