The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity, with two sister sites at London and Cosford. Our purpose is to share the RAF story, past, present and future – using the stories of its people and our collections in order to engage, inform and inspire. Our overall vision is to inspire everyone with the RAF story – the people who shape it and its place in our lives.
We are looking for a passionate, creative and experienced E-Commerce & Buying Assistant with analytical/numerical skills to work within our Retail and Admissions team. This is a 12-month maternity cover role.
The ideal candidate will have a flair for retail, motivation and a positive ‘can-do’ personality. They will support product development, buying and stock control, plus the content management of the e-commerce channel, including the creation and uploading of images and content. The ideal candidate will have prior buying experience, with a customer driven and design-led approach. This role necessitates the ability to juggle multiple projects with attention to detail, requiring a highly organised and flexible individual. Due to the creative nature of the role, being skilled in using design software is a must.
Reporting to the Head of Retail and Admissions, this role is a fantastic opportunity for a retailer with buying, design, e-commerce and stock control skills.
The post will be based at our London site. Some travel between the Museum sites will be required.
