The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity, with two sister sites at London and Midlands. We have two public sites (London and Midlands) and a stored collection (Stafford). Our trading company and active fundraising supplement Grant in Aid which comes through the Ministry of Defence.
The Royal Air Force Museum is a Carbon Literate organisation and as such promotes Carbon Literacy.
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Engineering Apprentice to join our award-winning team at the Michael Beetham Conservation Centre. This is a unique, four-year apprenticeship that offers:
• Quality Training: gain a Level 3 Metal Fabrication and Welding qualification with off-the-job training at Shrewsbury College.
• Hands-On Experience: work directly on the preparation, manufacture, and assembly of metal and heritage aircraft components and collection display mounts.
• Professional Growth: Learn to conduct maintenance inspections and surveys while adhering to high conservation and safety standards.
