About the role
Estates Helpdesk Operator

Full-time
London
£25,850 per annum
The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity, with two sister sites at London and Midlands. Our purpose is to share the RAF story, past, present and future – using the stories of its people and our collections in order to engage, inform and inspire. Our Vision is to inspire everyone with the RAF story – the people who shape it and its place in our lives.
We are looking to recruit an Estates Helpdesk Operator to support effective estate management across our three Museum sites. Playing a key role in our operations you will deliver excellent customer service, logging requests, escalating issues, keeping requestors informed and liaising with staff and contractors to ensure our sites are safe and welcoming to staff and visitors.
You will operate the end to end process of our reactive requests, as well as coordinating planned maintenance and exceptional activities; from initial request, issuing of instructions, completion of works, review of report/remedial works to processing of invoices.
With a keen eye for detail and process the successful candidate will have experience of a previous Helpdesk role in buildings and estate management. This impactful and interesting role liaises with colleagues across the Museum, from curatorial to visitor facing roles at all levels and acts as the central hub of the department.
You will be joining the Museum team at an exciting time as we progress our Strategy to 2030 and support the delivery of major projects for the site. This role will help deliver the significant change to building services and fabric needed to both maintain and enhance the estate as well as meeting our sustainability ambitions
The post will be based at our London site. Regular travel between the Museum sites will be required.
