The Museum hosts a huge variety of events that range from small-scale workshops and photography shoots to large scale festival events with thousands of visitors. The primary role of the Public Events Team is the generation of income and visitor footfall whilst promoting the Museum as a great day out.

This is the perfect role for anyone who has experience of managing and delivering events as part of a team and would like to develop their skills and knowledge. Excellent time management and organisational skills are just as important as creativity and new ideas.

The Public Events Executive role is key to support the growth of the public events programme at the Museum in line with our strategic plan through a colourful and dynamic events programme. The core purpose of this role is to lead on the coordination of support structures and administration for public events and play a vital part in delivering the events.

The post holder will support the Public Events Manager at all stages throughout the planning process and will take responsibility for the coordination of all operational elements of the event delivery. They will be working with a brilliant team of volunteers and other teams within the Museum to ensure a successful event and a great event experience for everyone involved. In addition, they will play an active role in developing the public events programme by introducing and executing new ideas and approaches.

The post will be based at our Cosford site. Travel between the Museum’s sites will be required from time to time.
