£40,000 per annum
The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity, with two sister sites at London and Cosford. RAF Museum Enterprises Ltd is the trading arm of the RAF Museum with all profits gift-aided to the Museum to support its charitable activities. Our purpose is to share the RAF story, past, present and future – using the stories of its people and our collections in order to engage, inform, entertain and inspire everyone. Our Vision is to inspire everyone with the RAF story – the people who shape it and its place in our lives.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Air Force Museum as we undertake our next Capital Fundraising Campaign. After the success of our Centenary Campaign in London we will be embarking on a transformation at our Midlands site, which is integral to the delivery of our Strategy 2030 vision.
As the Strategy 2030 Campaign Manager you will play a key role in the development and delivery of our campaign, building cases for support around the Master Plan and strong regional relationships with funders. Working closely with the Head of Development, Senior Leadership Team, Head of Major Projects and Development Team members as well as other internal stakeholders, you will help to raise the funds needed to realise this ambitious project which will positively impact our visitors, local communities and heritage, allowing us to share the stories of the RAF and its people in new and inspiring ways.
The ideal candidate will have strong fundraising credentials, with a natural flair for engaging others with project aims and outcomes and have proven experience of £1m + major appeal fundraising in the cultural sector. Ideally you will have experience of building partnership and stakeholder support across a range of funding sources and be a creative problem solver and excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative working environment.
The role is ideally based at our Midlands site, but a London base with travel required will be considered.
