£22,000 per annum
The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity, with two sister sites at London and Cosford. RAF Museum Enterprises Ltd is the trading arm of the RAF Museum with all profits gift-aided to the Museum to support its charitable activities. Our purpose is to share the RAF story, past, present and future – using the stories of its people and our collections in order to engage, inform and inspire everyone. Our overall vision is to inspire everyone with the RAF story – the people who shape it and its place in our lives.
We are looking to recruit a Volunteering Administrator at our London site, as part of our HR and Volunteering team, to support the Museum’s wide-ranging volunteering activity. Volunteering is essential to the success of our Museum, and we are fortunate to enjoy the commitment of amazing volunteers in over 50 varied roles, ranging from tour guides to collection care to visitor welcome hosts and many more.
The key responsibilities of this role include coordination of our volunteering activity and communications, maintaining the volunteering database, and supporting the wider Museum teams with organising recruitment, training and other meetings and events. The post holder will also be responsible for the production of performance reports to help us capture the positive impact of volunteering on both the Museum and our volunteers.
The role would suit someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, who is confident in their use of IT, and has a commitment to effectively delivering and enhancing the volunteering experience in line with our existing policy and processes. Previous experience of working with volunteers or within people management is desirable but not essential.
• Please provide your current CV with a supporting statement which provides specific examples which demonstrate how you meet the competencies in the person specification. Please note that the shortlisting process will give greater weighting to the essential technical competencies. Please send the completed documents to jobs@rafmuseum.org with ‘Volunteering Administrator’ on the subject line.

• Interviews will take place on: 20 January 2022
In light of the recent health climate concerning the Coronavirus, we will be carrying out all interviews via Microsoft Teams. We will confirm the arrangements to all candidates selected for interview.
