The Royal Air Force Museum is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Gold Award in the Ministry of Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) 2025. This is the highest level of recognition available for employers who demonstrate outstanding support to the Armed Forces community

The Gold Award recognises organisations that actively champion the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, going above and beyond in their support for serving personnel, veterans, reservists, and military families. This includes advocating for positive employment practices and ensuring fair treatment across recruitment, retention, and workplace policies

Receiving this award reflects the Museum’s continued commitment to honouring and supporting those who serve or have served in the armed forces, both through our internal practices and public engagement.

The award was accepted by Kam Sandhu-Patel and Sophie Millward on behalf of the Museum.
