Red Arrows Challenge gets extra time

2 October 2026

The RAF Museum is giving challenge-seekers and fundraising supporters more time to take part in the Red Arrows Challenge, by extending the closing date to 30 November. Run, walk, or cycle your way to an exclusive Red Arrows challenge coin and the chance to win some top prizes!

Whether completing a first 5km, or beating your personal best, every mile completed and every pound raised will help the RAF Museum preserve and share the extraordinary stories of the Royal Air Force, including those of the Red Arrows, for future generations.

Everyone who completes the challenge will receive a limited-edition Red Arrows Challenge commemorative coin as a reward for their achievement. Participants who fundraise £50 or more will also receive an exclusive Red Arrows Challenge t-shirt, featuring the iconic red Hawk T Mk1, as part of their Red Arrows thank you pack.

There are also prizes to be won. The top adult fundraiser and top family fundraisers will each receive tickets to the RAF Air Show in June 2027, including a chance to meet with some members of the Red Arrows team!

The participant who completes the greatest distance will receive a Red Arrows goody bag, along with one additional participant selected at random from everyone who enters. Prizes will be drawn when the challenge closes at the end of November.

Sophie Wallace, RAF Museum Regular Giving Development Manager, said:

‘We originally planned for the challenge to finish alongside the end of the Red Arrows flying season, but we received lots of requests from people asking for more time to take part. We’re delighted to be able to extend the challenge until 30 November and give even more people the opportunity to get involved.’

Sophie adds:

‘We’ve received incredible support for the Red Arrows Challenge from people around the world, with participants taking part in Spain, the Netherlands, and New Zealand, as well as across the UK. There has also been strong support from within the RAF, with the Red Arrows Circus team among those taking part.’

Participants can run, walk, or cycle their way to a personal goal, or simply enjoy taking part in an active challenge with family and friends. Distances can be tailored to suit individual abilities, and the challenge can be completed at a participants’ own pace, wherever they are.
