Christmas at War 2021
Our popular Christmas at War sessions have returned! We are offering both an onsite experience day, and an online live-streamed session.
Experience days will include a Christmas themed workshop in our Second World War hut, a tour of Second World War aircraft (including the world’s oldest Spitfire!), wartime games and wartime Christmas crafts. All activities are compliant with government guidance and are COVID-19 secure. The day runs from 10am-2pm, and costs only £200.00. Dates are available on a first come, first serve basis between 22-26 November 2021.
Virtual sessions are live-streamed into your school, and give your students the chance to discover what Christmas was like for civilians on the home front during the Second World War. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions to the team too! You will also receive a digital resource pack, which includes examples of crafting activities that you can take part in at school. Online sessions will be charged at £40.00 per session, and are available between 29 November – 3 December.
FREE EVENT – BOOKING REQUIRED
Our Family Afternoon returns on Wednesday 15 December 2021 between 12.30pm - 2.30pm.
There will be various activities provided by City of Wolverhampton College Students including Christmas-themed crafts and is suitable for children up to the age of 5.

NEW! Virtual STEM Days
The RAF Museum are proud to host virtual STEM days – sponsored by the RAF Youth and STEM Team. Our virtual events are free of charge and are live-streamed straight to your school. Upon confirmation of your booking you will be sent a resource pack. This includes all the resources you need to take part in the STEM activities alongside us, from your classroom.
- Beat the Engineer challenge and more!
Virtual STEM days run from 10am – 2pm.
Online workshops will be held via Microsoft Teams Live Stream (please note: you do NOT need a Microsoft Teams account to watch a live stream). Upon confirming your booking, you will be sent a link to the live stream as well as relevant downloadable resources. Minimal tech skills are required for you to attend, but please ask for our handy guide if you are struggling.
Our live streams are safeguarded with participating classes only able to see us as the presenter – there is no way for anyone else to see participants. When using the Q&A feature on the live stream, we will only publish questions that are anonymous if we have more than one school participating.
