Traffic Diversion in place 22 June - 12 July 2026
A new footpath linking Cosford Train Station and the RAF Museum Midlands is being installed from 22 June to 12 July, improving safety and access for visitors travelling by rail. During the works, Worcester Road will be closed to vehicles, but pedestrian access between the station and the Museum will remain open. Our Midlands site will be open daily from 10.00am.
Visitors travelling by car should allow extra time for their journey and follow the signed diversion route via Neachley Lane. To learn more and view the diversion map, click here.

By Bus
The nearest bus stop is the Cosford Garage, approximately a 1 mile walk to the Museum gates.

Cosford is on the Birmingham to Shrewsbury line (via Wolverhampton). The station is a ½ mile walk from the Museum, but please note there is no footpath alongside the road.
Before travelling, check timetables and services with train operators such as West Midlands Railway. Cosford station is unmanned and has flights of steps from both platforms, which may affect accessibility.
