Museum closed Saturday 13 August for The Battle of Britain Proms

Please note: On Saturday 13 August our site will be closed for the Battle of Britain Proms. This event is only available to ticket holders and there will be no access to our site to the general public. Please do not visit us unless you have a ticket to attend the Proms. We would like to apologise for any disappointment that this may cause. 

Please also be aware that on Wednesday 28 September 2022, the RAF Museum Midlands site will be closed for the Forces in STEM educational event. Again, this event is only available to ticket holders. There will be no access to site on the day. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. 

Opening Times

Our Midlands site is open every day of the week, including Bank Holiday weekends. Get ready for take-off and pre-book your free timed entry now. 

Admission to all areas of the Museum is FREE of charge and donations are welcome. Car Parking charges apply – click here for details. For a full site visit we recommend you allow a minimum of 3-4 hours.

10.00am – 4.00pm applies November – February

10.00am – 5.00pm applies March – October

While we are open some of our areas may be closed to assist the promotion of safe social distancing. Please be aware that from time-to-time, some areas of the Museum will have to be closed for Corporate Events. We aim to keep inconvenience to a minimum whilst making as many exhibits available as possible.

The Museum is closed 24-26 December 2022 and 1 January 2023.

Admissions Policy

Animals, other than Assistance Dogs accompanying their owners, are not allowed inside any building. Please be aware that there is no parking with shade on a hot day.

For admission purposes and for your safety, we will record your admission.
We reserve the right to refuse admission to the Museum at any time.
Personal Photography and filming is permitted, those with commercial requirement please visit the Commercial Photography for more information.

Some charging may be necessary for Holiday Activities.

Please note: The Museum regularly undertakes a programme of maintenance and conservation, so some exhibits or Hangars may be temporarily inaccessible. If you are visiting us to see something specific, please contact us in advance to ensure it that it is on display and available for public viewing.
