Airfield Kitchen

Visitor Centre

Airfield Kitchen is open every day from 10.00am – 4.00pm, when the Museum is open. It is located in the Visitor Centre for all visitors looking to dine in and takeaway.

Open for breakfast from 10:00am with a full barista quality coffee offer including seasonal specials. Our light breakfast menu is available until 12.00pm serving a hot brioche baps and sourdough crumpets. Our bakery is available all day serving freshly baked pastries in the morning and afternoon treats like the Airfield Cream Tea and Chocolate brownies.

A new Lunch menu is served 12noon – 3:00pm including our Airfield Favourites such as Cumberland Sausage & Mash and our Katsu Chicken burger along with authentic Italian pizza and chef's soup of the day

The ‘grab & go’ fridges are full of our range of sandwiches & wraps including our Cadet’s 5 item packed lunch, which only use the highest quality seasonal ingredients. Our drinks range includes bottled water, coca cola drinks and a range of premium canned drinks suitable for both adults and children.

We try to accommodate all dietary requests for our customers and often stock ‘Free From’ bread, pizzas, and cheese in order to adapt our menu to suit. If you have any requests, please contact a member of the team on your arrival to Airfield Kitchen and we will do our very best to help.

The Checkpoint is open weekends and term-time from 10.00am - 3.30pm serving Costa Coffee, sandwiches, cakes, and soft drinks.

The Checkpoint is located on the lower level of the National Cold War Exhibition, just before the Berlin Wall interactive display.
