Airfield Kitchen

Visitor Centre

Our Airfield Kitchen is open every day from 10.00am – 4.00pm, whenever the Museum is open.

It is located in the Visitor Centre and welcomes all visitors looking to dine in or take away.

Breakfast is served from 10.00am, with a full barista-quality coffee offering, including a range of iced drinks. Our light breakfast menu is available until 12 noon and includes hot brioche baps and sourdough crumpets.

Our bakery operates all day, offering freshly baked pastries in the morning and afternoon treats such as the Airfield Cream Tea and chocolate brownies.

The deli fridges are stocked with freshly made sandwiches and wraps. For children, our Cadet’s five-item packed lunch is always available, made with only the highest quality seasonal ingredients.

Our lunch menu offers a range of hot food from jacket potatoes to hot sandwiches and Chef’s soup of the day. Our lunch menu runs seasonally with a selection of Airfield favourites on offer, along with Children’s meals too. Lunch is served daily 12 noon – 3.00pm

Our drinks range includes bottled water, Coca-Cola products, and a variety of premium canned drinks suitable for both adults and children.

We aim to accommodate all dietary requirements and often stock ‘Free From’ bread and cheese so we can adapt our menu to suit your needs. If you have any specific requests, please speak to a member of the team upon your arrival at Airfield Kitchen, and we will do our very best to help.

The Checkpoint

National Cold War Exhibition

The Checkpoint is open weekends and term-time from 10.00am - 3.30pm serving sandwiches, cakes, and soft drinks.

The Checkpoint is located on the lower level of the National Cold War Exhibition, just before the Berlin Wall interactive display.
