Grab your sleeping bags and get ready for a night at the museum! Youth groups aged 6 to 15 are invited to set up base camp underneath our awesome aircraft and magnificent missiles for a night filled with fun!

Join us on Saturday March 20th 2026 for an overnight stay like no other. You will have the opportunity to explore the RAF Museum after hours, and take part in unique and exhilarating activities! This event is open to youth groups with children aged between 6 and 15 years old.
Groups will set up camp in The National Cold War Exhibition amongst some of the RAF’s most exceptional aircraft including the Belfast and the Vulcan.
The event will start at 5:00pm on Saturday 20th March: further information will follow in the weeks leading up to the event.

What’s included?
Participants can enjoy a programme of fun activities themed around science and aviation, as well as an evening film screening, dinner, and breakfast.
Food.
An evening meal will be provided for all young people and leaders. This will be served in the Welcome Centre restaurant and is included with your ticket. Food options will be sent out at a later date.
We will also provide a snack pack for the evening, and a continental breakfast in the morning.
New to Pillows and Pilots: The Aviation Cadets!

Get ready for a spectacular Pilot training show! This immersive show will take place in H2 next the world’s oldest surviving spitfire and is sure to inspire budding young aviators!
Disco:

The disco is back for Pillows and Pilots! Get ready to dance the night away to some modern favourites or old school classics!
The Bunting Workshop:

Decorate a bunting flag with your own picture, joke, message of goodwill and add it to our communal strand of bunting!
Movie Time:
Finish the evening off with a movie in the lecture theatre before getting warm and cosy under one of the RAF’s iconic aircraft.

Young person (6-15 years old): £50 (minimum 12 children per booking)
Adult: £15 (1 adult per 6 children, minimum 2 adults per booking)
