Spend the night at RAF Museum Midlands

Grab your sleeping bags and spend an overnight stay under aircraft and missiles at the Museum. This event is for youth groups with children aged 6–15.

Booking conditions (read before you book)

Young person tickets: minimum 12 children per booking.
Adult tickets: 1 adult per 6 children, minimum 2 adults per booking.

What’s included

Participants can enjoy:

  • Activities themed around science and aviation
  • An evening film screening
  • Dinner and breakfast
Food

An evening meal is provided for all young people and leaders, served in the Welcome Centre restaurant and included with your ticket. Food options will be sent out at a later date.

You will also receive a snack pack for the evening, plus a continental breakfast in the morning.


Activities during the night

New to Pillows and Pilots: The Aviation Cadets

A pilot training show in H2, next to the world’s oldest surviving Spitfire, designed to inspire budding young aviators.

Disco

A disco with modern favourites and old school classics.

The Bunting Workshop

Decorate a bunting flag with your own picture, joke, or message of goodwill and add it to a communal strand of bunting.

Movie time

A film in the lecture theatre before settling down under an RAF aircraft.

Young person (Ages 6–15): £50 (minimum 12 children per booking) Adult: £15 (1 adult per 6 children, minimum 2 adults per booking)

When is it?

Dates listed: 21 March 2026 – 22 March 2026. The event will start at 5:00pm on Saturday 20 March, with further information to follow in the weeks leading up to the event.

Where will we be based?

Groups will set up camp in The National Cold War Exhibition among aircraft including the Belfast and the Vulcan.

What food is included?

Dinner is included and served in the Welcome Centre restaurant. A snack pack is provided for the evening, plus a continental breakfast in the morning. Food options will be sent out at a later date.

Who can book?

This event is open to youth groups with children aged between 6 – 15 years old.

How many adults do we need?

Adult tickets are £15. You need one adult per six children, with a minimum of two adults per booking.
