This month’s speaker is Ian Lomax .
The talk covers an overview of the Avro company, and some of the historic aircraft they have produced. Former employees of the company set about preserving the history of the company and the value in their long heritage, which led to the creation of the Avro Heritage Museum. The talk is finish off by looking at the growth of their Collection and the future of AH Museum.
Speaker Details
Ian Lomax is a Director and Trustee at the Avro Heritage Trust. He is an accomplished operational and project management professional with over 30 years’ experience in UK policing, including strategic roles with Greater Manchester Police and the North West Counter Terrorism Unit. Following his retirement, he ran a successful project management consultancy for seven years. Passionate about aviation, Ian volunteers at the Avro Heritage Museum, leading restoration projects and serving as a Trustee since 2017.
