Summer of Fun ‘N’ Flight

Join us at RAF Museum Midlands this summer for a multitude of fun activities to keep the family entertained. Activities will include mini-golf, family quizzes, falconry experience, big lawn games and more!

Mini Golf

Come putt around the Nimrod and Dominie just outside the Visitor Centre with our mini golf experience.

Summer Sleuth Trail

Can you find Twinkletoes the cat

Calling all detectives! Twinkletoes has been stolen and replaced with a fake! We need your help to use our innovative booklet to find and solve clues around the museum to finally unveil the identity of the thief or else the real Twinkletoes will be lost forever. If you’re correct, you will receive a prize from the Visitor Centre staff.

Garden Party

Enjoy an alfresco meal

We’re bringing the summer garden fun vibe and you’re all invited! Grab a picnic or buy from our food van, bring a blanket or sit on our picnic benches and hang out in the sun. We’ve got large garden games like Giant Jenga, and Large Connect4 for you to play with for free.

Location: Outside Test Flight Hangar

Birds of Prey Display and Handling

Take part in one of our Birds of Prey Displays

Amazing birds of prey will be on display for you to look at and ask questions about for free! If you’d like to handle the birds, there is a cost that can be paid at the activity.

Location: Outside near the Crew Room

Date: 2, 3, 16, 17, 23 and 24 August

Timings: All Day

Price: Free to watch, £5 to handle small bird, £8 to handle large bird, £10 to handle eagle/vulture

Archery

Get all a quiver with one of our Archery sessions

Test your dexterity and aim with our archery sessions. Can you hit the target?

Laser Tag

Laser tag at the RAF Museum Midlands

Did someone say fun? Duck, Dive and Dodge during this fun laser tag quest where you go against the other team to win!

Location: Outside between VC10 and Hercules

Accessibility Information

Activity Type A

These activities have a designated start time and participants must complete the activity within the time frame, alongside other participants. There will not be the option to begin, leave the activity and return to complete later.

Activity Type B

These activities have a session time where participants can walk up and interact at their own timing, with the potential to leave and return at their own leisure. This allows participants to come and go at their own discretion and decide whether the activity at the time is too busy with other participants etc. However the activity must be completed within the session time, or return if there are more sessions that day.

Activity Type C

These activities are held where participants must be in the same space for the duration such as talks, films, shows etc. Participants must arrive before the activity begins to ensure time to sit down or find a space and then must stay there for the duration. These activities are normally busy and can be loud depending on the activity.

Activity Type D

These activities include aircraft or vehicle access and are limited to numbers and time spent aboard. Participants will have to complete the access during their timed slot and alongside other participants. Participants will not be able to leave and return to complete the access.
