On Tuesday 30 September 2025 between 10am and 4.30pm, the RAF Museum will hold a workshop delving into the rich history of how the road to victory was paved during the Second World War. This event is open to all who are passionate about the Royal Air Force, Second World War history, family history, and local heritage.
The workshop will host scholars working on topics that relate to air forces, their personnel and technologies; the economies and societies with which they interact; the conflicts in which they have engaged; and the global and international context with which they are connected.
Be captivated by the compelling research presented by leading experts, who have explored the profound links between the RAF, the Second World War and the events that led to Allied victory in 1945.
The panels hosted in the workshop will include the latest research on a range of topics relating to:
- Victory in Europe and its Aftermath.
- Victory in Japan and its Legacy.
- The Recovery of the RAF Museum’s Dornier Do 17 and the Ongoing Impact of the Second World War.
This event is in collaboration with the Air Historical Branch (RAF).
