The RAF used marine craft from 1918 to 1986 for a large variety of purposes, including the support of flying boat operations, target towing, range safety and Air/Sea Rescue.

A series of cards is held, recording the allocation of RAF Marine Craft to units. An example is given below.

The archive collection includes a small number of Deck Logs from the post-war period, but the vast majority of such records were not retained by the Ministry of Defence.
