Join us this summer for a five-day STEM camp that will be an unforgettable week of innovation, exploration, and hands-on learning at the RAF Museum Midlands!
Delivered in partnership with Tablet Academy, Summer STEM Camp gives young people aged 11–13 the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics in an aviation-inspired setting.
What children will do
Children will take part in a week of hands-on STEM activities, including robotics, flight, coding, cybersecurity, AI and team-based engineering challenges.
They will:
- Build and experiment with LEGO robotics and coding tools
- Explore aircraft engineering systems in the Museum
- Create digital designs and virtual worlds
- Take part in robotics and Minecraft flight challenges
- Decode wartime messages and explore cybersecurity
- Complete a final team build challenge
Camp Information
- Age guidance: 11–13 years
- Dates: 27–31 July 2026 or 3–7 August 2026
- Times: 9.45am–4.00pm
- Price: £140 per child for the full week
- Capacity: 20 participants per session
- Location: Royal Air Force Museum, Cosford
Includes: All materials, workshop activities and a certificate of achievement
*Please note: Children will have to bring their own food and drink, and be brought to the Museum and picked up from it at the end of each day.
Weekly programme
MONDAY – LEGO Engineering & Aeronautics 
• Build a vehicle strong enough to pull an aircraft using LEGO Spike Prime!
• Explore real-world aeronautical systems and recreate them using robotics.
• Hands-on museum walk exploring aircraft engineering systems.
TUESDAY – Digital Creations & Virtual Spaces
• Delve into AI generative tools and create your own designs with Adobe Express.
• Create and explore virtual worlds with Co-Spaces and VR Technology.
WEDNESDAY – Tech Adventures in Minecraft & Robotics
• Navigate the skies in Minecraft with the Elytra Flight Challenge!
• Dive into design thinking with Sphero Blueprints and robotics challenges.
THURSDAY – Cyber Secrets & AI Exploration
• Step into history: decode wartime messages and explore cybersecurity.
• Explore AI through Teachable Machines—where kids train their own models!
FRIDAY – Ultimate Build Challenge
• Camp finale: a full-day building challenge combining all the week’s skills.
• Team up, innovate, and create impressive projects to show off at home!
