Our award-winning Learning and Engagement staff utilise our unique and fascinating collection to offer a wide range of innovative, fun and enjoyable activities to a variety of audiences.
All activities support the National Curriculum and can be adapted to suit the specific needs of visiting groups, including those with mobility and sensory impairments and other additional needs. Workshops available are subject specific or can be cross-curricular.
We work on site or online with nurseries, schools, colleges, universities and home educated groups.
We advise all staff interested in booking a visit to the Museum to contact the team as soon as possible, so that the needs of each school can be discussed. It is not recommended to make a school visit without making a prior booking regardless of the content of the day. Timetables for the duration of your visit are provided to help your group maximise time at the Museum.
We can organise ‘bespoke’ activity days for schools, working with teachers to create a special day for their students.
We also offer a range of online sessions, live-streamed directly to your school.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Museum in any capacity.
