Our First World War in the Air Gallery will be closed on 27 March for a private viewing of our next temporary exhibition. We would like to apologise in advance for any disappointment that this may cause.

Last admission to the Museum is 5.30 pm Please note, vehicles may not park on our site before 10:00 am, unless part of a pre-booked group.

Car Parking Charges

Please note we are now levying a small car-parking charge at our London site. Click here for car parking charges.

Every effort is made to keep the entire Museum open during scheduled opening times, is not always possible for health and safety reasons. We are not always able to give advance notification of any closures. We apologise for an inconvenience that this may cause. The most likely areas to be affected by closures are:

Admissions Policy

  • Children under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times during their visit.
  • For admission purposes and for your safety, we will record your admission. Please let us have your postcode for marketing purposes.
  • We reserve the right to refuse admission to the Museum at any time.
  • Personal Photography and filming is permitted, those with commercial requirement please visit Commercial Photography for more information.
  • Some charging may be necessary for Holiday Activities.


The Battle of Britain Hall, Sunderland Hall and Milestones of Flight Gallery

The RAF Museum, London, has started a programme of capital transformation to mark the RAF’s Centenary in 2018. The Battle of Britain and Sunderland Halls have closed as part of this work since 3 October 2016. Our Milestones of Flight Gallery will be closed from 16 October 2017.All our other galleries remain open for a great day out.
